TRACY PARKER LUNDERGAN RECEIVES 2019 DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

Tracy Parker Lundergan was presented the 2019 Distinguished Service Award.  Such a well-deserved honor.

Tracy has been a court reporter in Kentucky and member of KYCRA since 1989.  During that time she has served our association in various roles.   She has served two terms on the board and volunteered for various committees, most recently in seminar planning.  Tracy has rarely missed a KYCRA convention and has been an integral part of the years of success our association has enjoyed.

As a part of professional development Tracy has earned the Registered Professional Reporter and Registered Merit Reporter designations through the National Court Reporters Association.

Tracy epitomizes the word “service” in the Distinguished Service Award.  Tracy has provided communication access realtime translation (CART) captioning services free of charge for decades to members of the Kentucky chapters of the Hearing Loss Association of America.  Through this service she has enriched the lives of many deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals throughout Kentucky.  The Kentuckiana Chapter has dubbed Tracy their “CART Angel.”

Tracy also serves the community in many other ways.  She has opened her home and her heart to adoptive parents as they were waiting for adoptions to be finalized.  The parents-to-be and babies stayed in Tracy’s home, at times for more than a month.  Tracy has also fostered a number of dogs until they were placed in forever homes.  She volunteers regularly for activities at St. Agnes Parish and has been a key member of the St. Agnes Carnival for many years.

All of our thanks to Tracy for all of her good work.
